Dinosaur eggs

So it's the weekend, and I have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I found a really cute book at a garage sale yesterday for Braden. It is called "Little Dino's Egg" and it is the cutest book EVER! It has a little fabric tunneled shape that runs through each page and portrays a dinosaur's body. While reading the book, every time you turn the page, the little body goes with you. I got home and surprised Braden with it, and he was ecstatic! He said "come on mom, let's go read it" so we did. I started getting all the questions about dinosaurs, how they hatch and how long it takes for the whole process. He decided to tell me that dinosaurs still hatch today and if I see a pink, blue or yellow egg, then it's either a bird or dinosaur. I tried to explain to him the best way I knew how, that dinosaurs are ancient and they do not exist anymore, kinda like the horse and buggy. He was completely unobjectionable and sat and processed our conversation for some period of time.

We had a nice evening. We went to Morgan's best friend's school graduation ceremony. It was nice. They fed us a four course meal, and of course it was my husband's favorite to boot, Ziti! We headed back home for a very quiet evening, while we only had two of the four kids, and decided to call it an early evening. Jonathan decided to share with me that he thought he felt himself getting sick. I didn't seem any what surprised, since two of my boys are just getting over strep throat. He took himself some thera-flu and headed to bed. We both thought "Does this always happen right before vacation?" I guess it could be worse we both agreed, since it is "Before" vacation.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am cutting up watermelon for an afternoon football party, folding laundry, trying to entertain Braden with hidden pictures, and somehow through it all, managing to find time to quickly blog!  Happy Saturday!

Hugs!
