By the time this hits cyber space, I am guessing it will not reflect Mother's day, but as I sit here and write, it still is, and what an awesome day it has been.
Today, I celebrate gracefully, being a mother to four of the most amazing children in the world! The labor pains I endured for each one of my blessings, I would lay back down and take every one of them again, without an epidural..Well...I think I may stretching the truth right there just a tad. No matter how you slice it or dice it, I would die for every one of them, tomorrow. Now that everyone knows that I went through some MAD labor pains for these kids, I must brag just a little, on how great they were to me today. ( My husband played a key role in today's success, just didn't contribute to the labor pains.)
I woke up and ran to Walgreen's, while everyone was sleeping. When I got back, my husband had gotten up, made me coffee, and made the GREATEST egg and cheese sandwich, ever! Morgan, fired up the skillet and made homemade chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. DELISH! I was proudly handed my Mother's Day cards and gifts, and much love was shown through them. I got the most beautiful Pandora "MOM" charm and a gift certificate for a massage. I was like "WOW, I think I am a pretty special mom right about now." I instantly started planning in my head, how I was going to schedule this and when.
Spent the rest of the day down at my Mom's and was really wishing my other mom was there with us to spend the day as well. The best thing to keep my mind off it, was to know that we will be spending a week with her in 9 days and the 23rd of May cannot get here fast enough! We had a wonderful day with my mom, both brothers and their families. All of us watched part of the Marathon of "Undercover Boss" and of course for all of you who know me, I cried like a baby. Overall, the day was another day behind me that I will cherish forever. I may not have any stretch marks to prove the labor I tolerated on those 4 days, but I will tell you this:
I have 4 of the most beautiful kids God could of ever blessed me with, and until the day I meet my Jesus, I will continue to celebrate the results of having gone through labor, and I know I wouldn't change them for the world! Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's in the world! You guys ROCK!
